What training do we offer?

The group runs two Short Term Associate Courses (STAC) each year. These courses are FREE and training centres around a 'mentor' system. This involves pairing each associate members with an observer who will assist them in the preparation for their advanced driving tests. The schedule of observed runs are arranged at mutually convenient times and all training is carried out using the Associate's car.

In addition to the STAC courses, the group has also hosted two training days for observers from all the groups in Northern Ireland.

Also, our motorcycle section operates from Spring to late Autumn.

Members are encouraged to attend the monthly meetings for which a varied programme of social and driving-related events are organised. Previous programmes have included advice on car security, visits to local car dealerships, treasure hunts, skid pan training and social gatherings such as barbecues and Christmas Dinner.
